Aea Agreement

From Broadway to dinner theater, Equity has a contract to cover large- and small-scale professional theater, wherever it performs in the United States. Equity negotiates and manages national and regional collective agreements between employers as well as single-parent agreements with theatre employers. These agreements provide for minimum wages, benefits, job security and many other provisions to ensure safe working conditions and a working environment in which actors and stewards are protected. We have PDF files of the agreements listed here for your convenience. League members` productions should be informed that certain “side agreements” with AEA and SDC are also available to them by contacting Maricha Miles directly at mmiles@offbroadway.org. On the 30th. In June 2006, the contract between the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers (ATPAM) and the Off-Broadway League expired. At that point, the parties found themselves at an impasse. At present, there is no collective agreement between the parties, although ATPAM may attempt to exercise responsibility for a off-Broadway production that does not fall under the terms of the expired contract and may attempt to enter into an individual contract with such a production. Equity contracts for individual members typically include jobs in three categories: principal, choir, and stage manager. The main contract is used for all key players and most stage managers. The choir contract is used for actors who mainly do choral work. Each individual employment contract refers to a specific collective agreement and contains all its conditions.

Members or their representatives and lawyers may negotiate individual terms and conditions of employment, provided that they do not meet the minimum requirements of the applicable Equity collective agreement. The League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers, Inc. is party to two collective agreements, those of the Actors` Equity Association (AEA) and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC). 463 COACHING MENTORING AND EVALUATION SUPPORT PROGRAMS ……. 58. .
